Recap: Lansdale Catholic Crusaders vs. Bethlehem Catholic Hawks
The Lansdale Catholic Crusaders put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 60-23 win over Bethlehem Catholic. Considering Lansdale Catholic has won four matchups by more than 20 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lansdale Catholic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Olivia Boccella, who went 8 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 2 assists. The matchup was Boccella's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Mcdonough, who scored 17 points along with nine rebounds and four blocks.
Lansdale Catholic pushed their record up to 6-0 with that victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points per game. As for Bethlehem Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.
Lansdale Catholic is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Bishop McDevitt at 6:00 p.m. on December 27th. Bishop McDevitt will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 120th, while Lansdale Catholic is ranked fourth). Bethlehem Catholic will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Freedom at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
