Basketball Game Preview: Monterey Trail Mustangs vs. Atwater Falcons

The Monterey Trail Mustangs will be taking part in a tournament against the Atwater Falcons at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Monterey Trail is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Atwater just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 78-67 to the Falcons. The Mustangs were down 62-42 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

The win was the seventh in a row for Atwater, bringing their record for this year to 11-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.6 points per game. As for Monterey Trail, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
