Softball Recap: Newell-Fonda Takes a Loss

The Newell-Fonda Mustangs didn't have quite enough to beat the Charles City Comets on Friday and fell 8-7. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Newell-Fonda's loss dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Charles City, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-7.

Newell-Fonda wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 11-3 defeat against Roosevelt on the 20th. As for Charles City, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-0 loss against Ankeny Centennial on the 20th.
