Soccer Recap: Roland-Story Comes Up Short

Roland-Story entered their game against Dowling Catholic on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Norsemen took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Maroons. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, Roland-Story couldn't push the score so high this time.

This is the second loss in a row for Roland-Story and nudges their season record down to 6-2. As for Dowling Catholic, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.

Roland-Story wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 6-0 victory against Ottumwa on the 22nd. As for Dowling Catholic, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Waukee at 7:30 p.m. on the 29th.
