Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for M.L. King

M.L. King put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by an 18-10 margin over the Towers Titans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-2 last Tuesday.

The team relied heavily on Donovyn Pinn, who scored three runs and stole six bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Those six stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Charlton Randolph was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing five bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

M.L. King always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .587. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .556 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

M.L. King's record is now 3-0. As for Towers, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. M.L. King will challenge Morrow at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Towers, they will venture away from home to face off against Miller Grove at 4:30 p.m. on February 28th.
