Basketball Recap: Fairfax Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Fairfax, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They snuck past the Venice Gondoliers with a 56-51 win on Wednesday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Lions considering their 23-point performance the matchup before.

Fairfax found their leader in sophomore Mila Spencer, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Petty-Wright, who posted ten points along with seven boards and three steals.

Fairfax's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Venice, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-17.

Fairfax has already played their next contest (against Palisades), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Venice didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-24 defeat against Rolling Hills Prep on the 30th.
