Softball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Jesup

Jesup came tearing into Saturday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Vinton-Shellsburg Vikings by a score of 8-5. Eight seems to be a good number for the J-Hawks as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Jesup's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-8. As for Vinton-Shellsburg, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-19.

Jesup didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-6 win against East Marshall on the 28th. Vinton-Shellsburg has also already played their next contest (against Center Point-Urbana), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
