Broomfield waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They came out on top against the Niwot Cougars by a score of 8-4. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Avery Gines was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lauren Hernandez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Broomfield kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in eight consecutive contests.

Broomfield's win bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Niwot, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Broomfield has already played their next matchup, a 6-3 victory against Cherokee Trail on the 3rd. As for Niwot, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-9 defeat against Frederick on the 1st.
