Basketball Recap: Saddleback Snaps 12-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Saddleback can finally bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They came out on top against the Samueli Academy Firewolves by a score of 33-24. This was payback for the Roadrunners, who suffered a 35-26 loss the last time these two teams met.

Saddleback's win ended a 12-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-9. As for Samueli Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Saddleback and Magnolia will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. Saddleback is facing Magnolia at the right time seeing as Magnolia is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Samueli Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on La Quinta at 1:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
