Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Polytechnic faced off against Westridge on Friday. The Panthers walked away with a 5-3 win over the Tigers. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Polytechnic's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 164th, while Westridge are ranked 484th).

Flintridge Prep's victory bumped their record up to 10-4-3. As for Polytechnic, their win bumped their record up to 10-3.

Flintridge Prep beat Polytechnic 2-0 when the teams last played two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wolves since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
