Basketball Game Preview: Westmoor Rams vs. Carlmont Scots

The Westmoor Rams will square off against the Carlmont Scots at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Westmoor is headed into Tuesday's game hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight defeats. The matchup between them and Aragon didn't end well, with Westmoor falling 42-23. The contest marked the Rams' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Carlmont played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Half Moon Bay 71-42. While losing is never fun, the Scots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 417th, while the Cougars are ranked 103rd).

Westmoor's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Carlmont, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.

Westmoor came up short against Carlmont when the teams last played back in December of 2019, falling 42-38. Can Westmoor avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
