Basketball Recap: Weston Ranch Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Legacy Christian Academy, Weston Ranch was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They escaped with a win against the San Ramon Valley Wolves by the margin of a single free throw, 67-66. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Weston Ranch's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Damarcus Cobb, who went 7-for-12 en route to 18 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Another player making a difference was Lemar Finney, who shot 57% from the field to rack up 20 points and five boards.

Weston Ranch's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for San Ramon Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Weston Ranch and Franklin will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played.
