Soccer Recap: Yorba Linda Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Yorba Linda's offense. They fell just short of the Great Oak Wolfpack by a score of 1-0 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 478th, while the Wolfpack are ranked 234th).

Yorba Linda's loss dropped their record down to 1-5-2. As for Great Oak, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3-1 record this season.

Yorba Linda has already played their next contest, a 4-2 defeat against Quartz Hill on the 28th. As for Great Oak, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Downey on the 28th.
