Basketball Recap: Tri-Valley Bulldogs vs. Line Mountain Eagles
This season hasn't been kind to the Tri-Valley Bulldogs, who are still winless after their 19th game. They fell to Line Mountain 35-31. Tri-Valley was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Despite the defeat, Tri-Valley saw an underclassman step up: Avery Miller dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cassie Huntzinger, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Tri-Valley's defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Line Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 5-12.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tri-Valley will take on the Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Line Mountain, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mountaineers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
