Football Game Preview: Cascade Christian Challengers vs. Klamath Union Pelicans

Cascade Christian is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Friday. They will square off against the Klamath Union Pelicans at 7:00 p.m. Cascade Christian will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

Cascade Christian is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Oregon's top teams: Henley, who was ranked 23rd at the time (Cascade Christian was ranked tenth). The Challengers simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Hornets 43-16. The result was nothing new for the Challengers, who have now won four games by 27 points or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Klamath Union played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 53-6 loss at the hands of Sutherlin. The loss continues a trend for the Pelicans in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost three in a row.

Klamath Union's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Cascade Christian, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.

Everything came up roses for Cascade Christian against Klamath Union in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 50-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Challengers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
