Cedar Shoals was handed a 11-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Central Gwinnett Black Knights 12-11. That's more bragging rights for the Jaguars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Danny Salter, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-5. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Tristan Nix was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Cedar Shoals' victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-13. As for Central Gwinnett, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-20.
