Preview: Susquehanna Township HANNA vs. Central Dauphin Rams
The Susquehanna Township HANNA will face off against the Central Dauphin Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Susquehanna Township sitting on nine straight victories and Central Dauphin on eight.
Susquehanna Township put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Central Dauphin East 53-21 at home. Given Susquehanna Township's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while Central Dauphin East is ranked 396th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Schuyler Coles was her usual excellent self, scoring 19 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ava London, who scored five points along with six steals and five assists.
Meanwhile, Central Dauphin strolled past State College with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 50-33.
Susquehanna Township's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-1. As for Central Dauphin, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record this season.
Susquehanna Township came up short against Central Dauphin when the teams last played back in February of 2016, falling 54-42. Can Susquehanna Township avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
