Basketball Game Preview: Burlingame Panthers vs. Sequoia Ravens

The Burlingame Panthers will venture away from home to take on the Sequoia Ravens at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Burlingame will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Last Wednesday, Burlingame was able to grind out a solid win over Oceana, taking the game 50-39. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 340th, while the Sharks are ranked 1069th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, the third road matchup was the charm for Sequoia, as they earned their first road win of the season. They strolled past Capuchino with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 53-35.

Sequoia's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Burlingame, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-4.

Burlingame came up short against Sequoia when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 34-22. Can Burlingame avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
