Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Logan View/Scribner-Snyder

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. Everything went their way against the Syracuse Rockets as they made off with an 11-1 victory. That's two games straight that Logan View/Scribner-Snyder has won by exactly ten runs.

Rachel Purvis was incredible, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-2. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Callie Stockamp, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .389. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .348 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Syracuse, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Logan View/Scribner-Snyder will challenge rival Ponca at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Syracuse is set to face off against their familiar foe Auburn at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
