Baseball Recap: Orono Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Orono came out on top against Fort Kent on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fourth inning. The Riots walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Warriors. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Riots as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Kason Bagley was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Orono's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 1-6 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Nolan Bagley, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Orono's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Fort Kent, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-6.

Orono will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair will be back at it again later today.
