Basketball Game Preview: Bellefonte Raiders vs. Williamsport Millionaires

Bellefonte is 1-7 against Williamsport since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Bellefonte Raiders will take on the Williamsport Millionaires at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Bellefonte is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 13th straight game on Thursday. They took a blow against Penns Valley Area, falling 70-23. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 631st, while the Rams are ranked 283rd).

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 66-29, which was the final score in Williamsport's tilt against Loyalsock Township on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Millionaires in their matchups with the Lancers: they've now lost nine in a row.

Bellefonte's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Williamsport, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.

Bellefonte was dealt a bruising 70-27 loss at the hands of Williamsport when the teams last played back in January of 2024. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Bellefonte was down 43-15.
