Basketball Recap: Brockway Comes Up Short

Brockway lost against St. Marys on Wednesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Rovers were outmatched by the Flying Dutch and fell 47-18. The Rovers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-9.

Sophia Schmader and Ana Hughes certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Schmader posted eight points along with eight rebounds and three steals, while Hughes had three points.

Brockway's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for St. Marys, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coincidentally, Brockway and St. Marys will both be playing Clearfield the next time they take the court. The Flying Dutch will head out to face the Bison at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Rovers will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
