Griffin had to endure a 16-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Cristo Rey Atlanta on Thursday, sneaking past 4-3.

Griffin's victory bumped their record up to 2-16. As for Cristo Rey Atlanta, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Griffin will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Mundy's Mill at 5:55 p.m. on the 15th. As for Cristo Rey Atlanta, they will face off against Heritage Preparatory at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed nine runs per game on average), something Cristo Rey Atlanta will no doubt try to take advantage of.
