Recap: Penns Manor Comets vs. United Lions

The Penns Manor Comets came tearing into Thursday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against United by a score of 58-50. 58 seems to be a good number for Penns Manor as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Despite the loss, United still got an impressive performance from Mollee Fry, who scored 23 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fry has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Delaney Perrone, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and two steals.

Penns Manor has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for United, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-4.

Penns Manor will head out on the road to square off against Northern Cambria at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Northern Cambria will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 511th, while Penns Manor is ranked 100th). As for United, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Homer-Center at 7:15 p.m.
