Brookstone is ranked highly in their home state and on Tuesday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Central. The Brookstone Cougars fell 8-3 to the Central Red Devils. The Cougars' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Brookstone saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gray Jones, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Brookstone's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Central, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brookstone will take on Shaw at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Brookstone's pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so Shaw's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Central, they will square off against Newnan at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
