Softball Recap: Marshall Takes a Loss

If Marshall was riding high fresh off their 16-1 takedown of Knob Noster on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Owls lost 13-3 to the Carrollton Trojans on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Owls have suffered since September 14, 2024.

Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Carrollton, their win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Marshall is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Mexico at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carrollton, they will challenge Salisbury at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
