Football Recap: Cheltenham Comes Up Short

Cheltenham was the 31-14 winner over Bensalem when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers fell 38-30 to the Fighting Owls on Friday. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly eight points.

Despite the loss, Cheltenham still got an impressive performance from Carsen Giddiens, who picked up 111 receiving yards and one score. Giddiens was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 64 yards. Kendall Jackson also helped out by tossing the rock for 325 yards.

This is the second loss in a row for Cheltenham and nudges their season record down to 1-4. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 3-1 Council Rock South (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 67.5% over those games). As for Bensalem, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Cheltenham has already played their next game, a 35-0 loss against Souderton on the 26th. As for Bensalem, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 14-12 defeat against Council Rock South on the 26th.
