10. Ron Curry, Hampton (Hampton, Va.)Few high school athletes have been more decorated than Curry, who was named National Player of the Year by Gatorade, Parade, Student Sports and USA Today. Also an outstanding basketball player, he was named MVP of the McDonald's All-American game. He led the 1996 Hampton team to a 14-0 record, outscoring the opposition 768-83 and winning the state title. He matriculated to North Carolina, where he set school records but was never in serious consideration for the Heisman Trophy. He transitioned to wide receiver in the NFL and played eight seasons with three teams.
