Alexander fell victim to Villa Rica and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The Cougars' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Alexander got a good showing from Jayden Whittlesey, who tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Whittlesey has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Alexander saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josh Sellers, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Alexander's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Villa Rica, their win was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-2.
