Basketball Recap: Tomas Has No Trouble Against Bay City

Tomas not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since November 14th (when they won 61-29). They were the clear victors by a 36-16 margin over the Bay City Blackcats. Given the Gators' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 475th, while the Blackcats are ranked 1172nd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Tomas and bumps their season record up to 7-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 56 points in those games. As for Bay City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Tomas didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 56-22 victory against Fort Bend Dulles on the 5th. As for Bay City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 29-27 loss against Brazosport on the 6th.
