Basketball Recap: Princeton Comes Up Short

Princeton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 43-32 to the Loyalton Grizzlies. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly 11 points.

Loyalton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Catherine Petterson led the charge by putting up ten points along with four steals and four blocks. Josie Petterson was another key player, posting 12 points.

Princeton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Loyalton, they moved to 4-6 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Princeton will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Chester at 4:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Loyalton will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Quincy at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Quincy will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Loyalton surely won't give up without a fight.
