Baseball Game Preview: River Ridge Knights vs. Woodstock Wolverines

The River Ridge Knights will head out on the road to challenge the Woodstock Wolverines at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodstock took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on River Ridge, who comes in off a win.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between River Ridge and Sequoyah, and River Ridge kept the tradition alive. The Knights walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Chiefs on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Woodstock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Creekview, falling 10-4. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

River Ridge has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Woodstock, their loss dropped their record down to 9-18.
