Football Recap: Pelham Memorial Comes Up Short

After flying high against Irvington last Friday, Pelham Memorial came back down to earth. The Pelicans fell 42-35 to the Dobbs Ferry Eagles on Friday. The matchup was a 19-19 toss-up at halftime, but the Pelicans couldn't quite close it out.

Pelham Memorial's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Dobbs Ferry, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Pelham Memorial is set to face off against their familiar foe Haldane at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Dobbs Ferry will square off against rival John Jay at 7:00 p.m. on the 27th.
