Softball Game Preview: Lee's Summit Tigers vs. Raymore-Peculiar Panthers

Lee's Summit is 1-9 against Raymore-Peculiar since September of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Tigers will venture away from home to take on the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Lee's Summit 3.4, Raymore-Peculiar 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Lee's Summit lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Staley, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's contest. The Tigers never let the Falcons get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Thursday. The Tigers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Raymore-Peculiar waltzed into their game on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Everything went their way against the Falcons as they made off with an 8-2 victory. Considering the Panthers have won three matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Raymore-Peculiar's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Lee's Summit, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 6-2.

Lee's Summit couldn't quite finish off Raymore-Peculiar when the teams last played on September 11th and fell 4-2. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
