Softball Recap: Montezuma-Cortez Extends Winning Streak to Three

Montezuma-Cortez entered their tilt with Aspen on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Skiers 22-4. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Montezuma-Cortez let Cejae Snyder and Raegan Veach run wild. Snyder got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI, while Veach went 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave Snyder a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Di'Nya Manuel, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

Montezuma-Cortez always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .722. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Montezuma-Cortez's win bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Aspen, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Montezuma-Cortez beat the Skiers by a score of 25-8 later that day.
