Recap: Klein Cain Hurricanes vs. Tomball Cougars
The Klein Cain Hurricanes suffered their biggest loss since December 5, 2023 on Friday. They were the victim of a rough 54-29 loss at the hands of Tomball. While losing is never fun, Klein Cain can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 483rd, while Tomball is ranked 206th).
Tomball can attribute much of their success to Mallory Lehmann, who scored 12 points along with six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lehmann has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kylee Symons, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Klein Cain's loss dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Tomball, they pushed their record up to 20-7 with that win, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Klein Cain will take on Tomball Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tomball Memorial has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games. As for Tomball, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Klein at 7:00 p.m. Klein and Tomball are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
