Soccer Recap: Santa Fe Takes a Loss

Santa Fe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cleveland Storm. If Santa Fe were looking for revenge after losing 5-1 to Cleveland when the teams met back in September of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Connor Krenek and Luis Ruano scored both of Santa Fe's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Santa Fe's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Cleveland, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

Santa Fe didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 1-0 victory against Sandia Prep on the 16th. As for Cleveland, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Cibola at 6:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
