Softball Recap: Aspen Skiers vs. Montezuma-Cortez Panthers

Aspen couldn't beat Montezuma-Cortez on Tuesday even though they stacked five runs on them in the second inning. The Skiers came up short against the Panthers, falling 26-8. That's two games in a row now that the Skiers have lost by exactly 18 runs.

Hailey Lapin made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Annaliese Ingram, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Aspen's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Montezuma-Cortez, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-12.

Coming up, Aspen will square off against Moffat County at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Montezuma-Cortez, they are taking a road trip to square off against Alamosa at 3:00 p.m. on the 25th.
