Softball Recap: South Effingham Makes It 14 in a Row at Home

There's no place like home for South Effingham, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Glynn Academy Terrors on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Mustangs: when they faced off against the Terrors on Monday, they had to take a 5-0 defeat.

Rosie Dixon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits.

At the plate, Sydney Minshall was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. Another player making a difference was Justine Nevels, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

South Effingham's win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-2. As for Glynn Academy, the loss snapped their winning streak at 12 games and leaves them with a 19-4 record.

South Effingham will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Terrors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
