Football Recap: Norland Comes Up Short

Norland had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 3-5 to make it four. They came up short against the American Heritage Patriots, falling 42-21. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 52nd, while the Patriots are ranked sixth).

When it comes to explaining why Norland lost, don't look at Kai Moore. Despite the final result, he threw for 225 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

As for American Heritage, they now have a winning record of 4-3. They haven't had any issues with Norland recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Leon Strawder continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 291 yards and three TDs, while also rushing for 45 yards and one score. Jamar Denson also helped with two touchdowns in total.

Norland has already played their next matchup, a 30-14 victory against Columbus on the 16th. As for American Heritage, they will head out to take on Archbishop McCarthy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
