Baseball Recap: Commerce Takes a Loss

Commerce was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 13-6 to the Providence Christian Academy Storm, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Storm this season, with their most recent loss being a 13-6 defeat on Friday.

Commerce's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Providence Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Commerce is set to challenge their familiar foe Athens Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Providence Christian Academy will take on rival Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
