Basketball Recap: Delaney Zentner Key Part of a Team Effort in Panthers Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hughesville, Bloomsburg was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged the Southern Columbia Area Tigers out 41-39. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Tigers on January 10th, they had to take a 39-37 defeat.

Bloomsburg got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Delaney Zentner out in front who went 5 of 9 en route to 13 points and six assists. The dominant performance gave Zentner a new career-high in assists. Another player making a difference was Lucy Maclay, who posted 11 points and six boards.

Bloomsburg is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season. As for Southern Columbia Area, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-9.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Loyalsock Township the next time they take the court. Southern Columbia Area will host Loyalsock Township at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Bloomsburg will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
