Peak to Peak dropped down to 5-9 on Saturday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They came up short against  the Arvada Bulldogs, falling  10-1. The Pumas were red-hot at the plate heading into the  matchup (they scored no less than ten  runs in the four  contests prior), but the Bulldogs' pitcher proved too tough.
 Peak to Peak saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Haley Haskins, who  went 1-for-2 with two  stolen bases and one  run.
As for Arvada, the  win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.2 runs on average over those games.
On Arvada's side,  Alyssa Moreno was a  major factor no matter where she played. She  struck out six batters over  four innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits. Moreno has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Amaya Krantz, who  went 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  RBI.  Abby Lopez was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.
 Peak to Peak didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  an  18-2  defeat against Centaurus on the 15th. As for Arvada, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  match,  a  19-2  win against Alameda on the 8th.
