Bishop O'Dowd proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 41) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Alameda Hornets 64-61. The win was familiar territory for the Dragons, who have now won five games in a row.

Mia Borja and Marissa Allen certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Borja shot 41% from the field on her way to 25 points and seven rebounds, while Allen dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten boards. Allen is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last eight games she's played.

Bishop O'Dowd's victory bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Alameda, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 16-8.

Bishop O'Dowd has already played their next contest, a 51-46 win against Salesian College Preparatory on the 7th. As for Alameda, they will challenge Piedmont at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
