Recap: Hoover Patriots vs. Roosevelt Rough Riders
The Hoover Patriots lost against the Roosevelt Rough Riders back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Hoover took a 48-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Roosevelt. Hoover has not had much luck with Roosevelt recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Roosevelt got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nyleigh Gregory out in front who scored 22 points. Gregory is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Taylor Sutherland, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
Hoover's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Roosevelt, their win was their 14th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hoover will take on Sunnyside at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Roosevelt, they will head out on the road to take on McLane at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. McLane is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
