Soccer Game Preview: Sanger vs. Bullard

Sanger is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Bullard is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Sanger Apaches will host the Bullard Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Sanger is headed into the game having not lost since December 7 and will look to keep things rolling. They never let Justin Garza onto the board and left with a 5-0 victory on Wednesday. Considering the Apaches have won 13 matches by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Justin Garza with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Royce Kilby (2), Ava Martinez, Genoveva Vaca, and Abby Cano.

Meanwhile, Bullard hasn't lost a match since January 7th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Wednesday. They blew past Madera South 5-0. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 177th, while the Stallions are ranked 653rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sanger is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-1-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those nine games. As for Bullard, their win bumped their record up to 11-6-2.
