Softball Recap: Stratford Academy Find Success

Stratford Academy owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They came out on top against the Central Fellowship Christian Academy Lancers by a score of 9-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The team relied heavily on Hayden Craddock, who went 3-for-4 with five stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those five stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Hatsy Russell was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.

Stratford Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Central Fellowship Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stratford Academy will host Athens Christian at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Stratford Academy is facing Athens Christian at the right time seeing as Athens Christian is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Central Fellowship Christian Academy, they will face off against First Presbyterian Day at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
