Softball Recap: Raytown South Cardinals vs. St. Michael the Archangel Guardians
Raytown South extended their losing streak to 13 on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-13. They lost 20-4 to the St. Michael the Archangel Guardians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Guardians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-0 back in September.
As for St. Michael the Archangel, their record now sits at 13-9. The high-scoring effort was just what they needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.
For St. Michael the Archangel's part, the team relied heavily on Sophie Young, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with six RBI, two stolen bases, and three runs. That's the most hits Young has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was Domenica Falco, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Raytown South does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Michael the Archangel, they have already played their next game, a 10-0 loss against Pleasant Hill on the 9th.
