Softball Recap: Severance's Winning Streak Snapped at Seven Games

After a string of seven wins, Severance's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They and the Wellington Eagles finished up on equal footing with a 5-5 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time the Silver Knights have been dealt a draw since back in August.

Katie Thomas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five runs (all of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

Severance's draw makes their record 17-4-2 this season. As for Wellington, they moved theirs to 18-4-1.

As of now, neither Severance nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
