Soccer Game Preview: Scripps Ranch vs. Clairemont

The Scripps Ranch Falcons will head out on the road to challenge the Clairemont Chieftains at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Scripps Ranch is headed into Wednesday's following a draw, the team's first since January 10. They and University City finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw on Wednesday.

Annalise Hickman and Chloe Marsolini scored both of Scripps Ranch's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Meanwhile, Clairemont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They lost 4-0 to San Diego. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Chieftains couldn't quite close it out.

Clairemont's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. Scripps Ranch's draw makes their record 10-3-5 this season.

Everything went Scripps Ranch's way against Clairemont when the teams last played back in January, as Scripps Ranch made off with a 6-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Scripps Ranch since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
